Ok, this will be fun. Good motivation to get writing on my blog more often as well (I seem to be doing ok on a group blog I post on 2x a month, on our family blog and I'm excited about a family movie blog I just started:
http://wholesomemoviemaven.blogspot.com/ but my personal blog has been dormant ~ so time to step it up a notch and to read more this summer. IF I did this correctly, then I should have a link at my site, but when I just checked it wasn't there... maybe I need to post this first?

Anyway, I'll close for now and see what happens.
Blessings,
Stephanie Abney ~ Mesa, AZ
writer, teacher, networker, reader and ton of other stuff (wife, mother, grandmother, etc. etc.)
Okay, I'm in, for the first time ever of doing a reading challenge.
I'm in too. I'm always game for a reading challenge—especially one that lets me use books from other challenges.
Sounds like fun. I'll be reading anyway, so why not?
I love any excuse to read more books. Thanks for giving me an incentive.
This will be fun. Great idea!
Books! Yes!
Oops! I did my link wrong the first time. That's what happens when I don't finish reading all the directions. You'd think I'd know better after those "Read all the directions before doing this test" in 4th grade. I'll re-link correctly. :)
BTW - I'm totally excited about the Summer Book Trek!
I think I signed up correctly. It's the first time I've done anything "fancy" on my blog (you know, like putting up a link--big time) so I hope it works.
yea! Finally got to this! I'm very excited. Great Challenge.
I've already gotten some good ideas for what I want to read next. That's the beauty of a challenge like this, right? It's come at just the right time too, because I'm always a little jealous when my son signs up for the summer reading challenge at the library and gets to win a hamburger and fries. From In-n-Out, no less! And if you don't know about In-n-Out, you're better off that way so you won't pine for it. Time to hit the reading trail....
I'm assuming Shannon Hale is LDS but want to make sure. She is, isn't she?
Yes, Shannon Hale is LDS. Her Book of a Thousand Days won a Whitney award.
I think this will be fun. I actually think I'll have some time to read this summer - hooray!
I hope lots of LDS Fiction Readers get involved. It will be fun to see the different reviews.
This should be a good way to make a dent in my TBR shelf! Hopefully, I'll have room for three new books by the end of August. (Just what I need...three more books in the house! Or maybe I just need more shelves?)
I'm signing up for the challenge now, but I won't get a chance to post my book list on my blog until Monday (6/9/08), so check back after that.
Dear LDS Publisher,
In spite of your very clear warning, I accidentally linked to my homepage the first time, so I signed up a second time linking directly to my "Summer Book Trek" blog page, trusting in your promise to "delete incorrect links". (That would be me at number 21. 22 is my corrected blog link.)
I'm sorry, and thank you!
So many books, so little summer!
Thanks for a really terrific idea! (When you have a great book and a beautiful day, life really is a beach, even here in Arizona!)
I'm not sure where we're trekking to, but the company couldn't be better!
This looks like so much fun, can anyone play?
How embarrassing! I spelled my own name wrong on Mister Linky! Typing too fast and I left an "e" out. Whoops!
Anyway...I've finally signed up!
I love this!!
I think I can do this, after all it is only one book and I jsut got Stephanie Meyer's Twilight, give me incentive to get through it. I dont' have a blog, use the one at A Novel Challenge.
Lindy
I've signed up. I joined another summer reading list, so I only had to add one book to it.
Ok I have my name up twice because more then likely my first one will be deleated. I didn't really understand the whole mr.linky thing until after I had already made a mistake. I am looking forward to this so I can really read the good LDS books and skip the okay ones since dh thinks I already read to much. Do you think I used already too much?? :)
I know that the challenge is half way over, but I just came across it today over at A Novel Challenge. If I can make my list with the books that I have already read in the specific time frame, I am game. Judy
